Now our mac clients complain about the following issue: When they open their address book and look in all contacts they see an awful list of suggested contacts. However, these contacts are only seen in the mac adressbook, not on mobile devices, outlook pc, outlook for mac, not in OWA.
We've recently installed an new Exchange 2013 server. Now our mac clients complain about the following issue: When they open their address book and look in all contacts they see an awful list of suggested contacts. However, these contacts are only seen in the mac adressbook, not on mobile devices, outlook pc, outlook for mac, not in OWA. But they get synced, because people with multiple mac, do see the same list, and when we delete one of these contacts it's deleted on the other mac adress book too. The list is only viewable when you look in All Contacts. No if you just look in you Exchange addres book.
We've investigated this issue and found out that other clienst who are on office365 and have been switched to the 'new 2013 layout' have the same issue. We think it's related to the sugggested contact group, but that is not availble anymore in 2013 so we can't delete it. Hi Cara, This is what happens: I've 1 exchange account in apple mail / apple address book nothing more. Every time when I reply on an email that was send from an address that was not in my address book it saves the address in All Contacts. This list is synchronized to other apple mail clients with the same exchange account.
But more happens: I delete these auto generated addresses they come back after a while (even if i do not email back) I know it's only on mail desktop issue, but for some reasons it's syncing with the exchange server so that's why i posted it here also. I know suggested contacts is not in 2013 anymore, but that's the issue: something is syncing and i can't get it away. As far as is can see, it only happens with exchange 2013 accounts and office365 accounts with the new layout. I tested also an imap account and could not reproduce the problem.
In previous versions of Outlook for Mac, you could click on an 'X' next to an autocomplete address and it would be removed from the list. I am using the most up-to-date version of Outlook 2016 for the Mac. The option 'X' to remove the address is not available.
Outlook keeps autocomplete / suggesting an an alternate email address (his personal email) for someone i email multiple times per day. I need to email his corporate (Office 365) account. I deleted the personal email address from his contact information.
It still shows as the default suggestion under the 'Contacts and Recent Addresses' autocomplete list. 2008 excel for mac renaming legend. Unfortunately, when i am in a hurry, i hit the autocomplete default suggestion. Hi paul, i would like to confirm the following information to determine whether it is client side issue: • which office 365 plan are you using? Could you please provide us with the detailed version of outlook 2016 for mac? • does this option “x' to remove the address is not available happen to every autocomplete address or specific his personal email address? • have you tried to create a new outlook identity to check this issue? • could you please try to check this issue via different mac pc to see whether the problem still occurs?
